Even though I've been experiencing quite a bit of success on okcupid, I thought I'd check out a new site, to see what's out there. I had seen an ad for plentyoffish.com at the West 4th A/C station, and later in the afternoon Shana mentioned that a friend of her's had tried it and had a lot of luck. Seemed like I ought to check it out, right?

Oh. My. God. Yes, I've had lots of responses - 11 guys in a matter of hours. No, I'm not remotely interested in any of them. Most of the messages were just unimaginative of the "Hi. Hoe are you?" variety. That's his spelling mistake, not mine. But then there were these two:

"hey how you doing i pass for your page and i like what i see you look very cute and sexy and beautiful i hope we can continue talk and i want to know if you single kisses"

and

"Damm your gorgeous!!! I would so drink wine off your feet anyday"

Grammar? Spelling? Granted, I'm not the best speller, but I can spell damn and know that anyday is actually two words.

I think I will stay in the heavenly themed cupid site and stay out of the water.

Speaking of cupid, I've got a date with a 25 year old on Thursday. He was very attracted by what was in my profile. Don't know if he noticed I'm 39. So we'll see.
